About The Position

The Associate Engineer, Directory Services is accountable for architectural and operational support of the Microsoft Active Directory environment across Universal Destinations & Experiences. Overall responsibilities include problem resolution, automation, planning and testing, patching and product life cycle management.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in Directory Services analyst or security specialist; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in Active Directory (AD) and working knowledge of tools currently available to support AD.
  • Experience of Active Directory Group Policy Objects (GPO) and OUs.
  • Understanding of basic networking concepts
  • Deep technical understanding of MS Active Directory Domain Services.
  • Server hardware experience, out-of-band management and patching.
  • Knowledge of password vault solutions, JITA access and virtualization: Netwrix, CyberArk, Hyper-V.
  • Experience creating and maintaining architecture diagrams, design diagrams and data flow diagrams using Microsoft Visio or other equivalent tools

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the operational infrastructure of the Active Directory (AD) environment.
  • Develop reports and tools to help manage the Active Directory environment.
  • This includes managing documentation of AD, OUs and GPOs.
  • Maintaining Identity Objects and Forests within Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Managing group memberships and understanding group scopes (global, universal, domain local

  • Schedule, and perform software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches, reconfigurations, server backups and server hardening.

  • Develop, document, and maintain policies, procedures and associated resources for system administration and appropriate use.
  • Create and maintain required reports and MS Visio infrastructure diagrams.

  • Must stay abreast of all leading technologies surrounding access management, task coordination, incident management, and project delivery and performs related duties as required.
  • Assists Directory Services team in providing input and representation on key security initiatives and projects.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
