About The Position

This is a position in a firmware development part in customer engineering team to develop, debug, validate, and optimize storage firmware on embedded multi-core architectures and support Customer design-in and qualification

Requirements

Degree in Computer/Electronic/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
Proficiency in C/C++
Familiarity with SW algorithm development
Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with cross-functional and cross-cultural global teams

Nice To Haves

Knowledge NVMe/PCIe Protocol Interface
Knowledge of the Agile software development process life cycle
Knowledge of Windows / Linux / Chrome PC architecture and ecosystem

Responsibilities

Designing, implementing and integrating critical firmware components for SSD products
Analysing, troubleshooting, fixing issues discovered by internal test teams or by customer use of the products
Representing the Customer Engineering team in one or more multi-disciplined engineering core teams
Designing, developing Proof of Concepts prototype firmware in collaboration with Customers or ecosystem Partners, to enable sandbox testing of new technologies for next generation SSDs
Occasionally calls with FAE/Account Team, and Customers to present technical details
Travel (when possible) to Customer site for debugging of critical issues
Contributions immediately impacting Sandisk’s success in fast paced environment
