As an Engineer, Crawler Electrical for John Deere Dubuque Works located in Dubuque, Iowa you will: Lead the design and development of electrical components and harnesses for specific Crawler models. Lead and participate in the Product Delivery process, ensuring all activities and plans are formulated and followed to launch new vehicle programs into production. Participate in competitor benchmarking, vehicle specification development, as well as creation and maintenance of product design guidelines for Crawlers. Provide problem solving support of electrical issues on prototype machines and current production units. VISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this position

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Electrical Systems and Components (through relevant course work, practical work experience or internships)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to attack emerging issues, determine root cause, and drive corrective action
  • Experience with 3D modeling tools
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively within cross-functional and culturally diverse teams
  • Ability to travel up to 25% based on business needs
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent related work experience

Nice To Haves

  • Expertise and demonstrated experience with electrical systems and components
  • Knowledge of electrical systems for mobile equipment applications
  • Knowledge with Modeling tools for harness routing and drawing creation (i.e. Creo/ProCable, MentorGraphics - Capital Harness)
  • Experience working with electrical suppliers
  • Basic understanding of electrical harness manufacturing process

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of electrical components and harnesses for specific Crawler models.
