About The Position

The Engineering Intern position is designed to provide hands-on experience in process engineering by supporting machining and assembly operations. The intern will contribute to productivity, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program in Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Must be in junior year or earlier with at least one year remaining before graduation.
• Students must be able to commit to a long-term internship (minimum 12 months).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, PFMEA, Lean Manufacturing principles, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist with improving current manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, quality, and safety while supporting customer needs.
• Document process improvements, communicate updates, and support training initiatives.
• Analyze best practices, participate in problem-solving activities, and help develop optimized manufacturing processes to achieve plant goals.
• Contribute to process control systems, project documentation, standard work instructions, and equipment/tooling initiatives.
• Partner with the process engineering team on productivity improvement projects and special assignments.
• Support engineering change processes including quoting, implementation, launch, and shop-floor support.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams on customer corrective actions.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to meet department needs.
