About The Position

The Sustaining Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting production processes, ensuring product quality, and leading continuous improvement initiatives within the design engineering team at Midland Manufacturing, part of OPW. This position requires a blend of engineering expertise, project management skills, and a commitment to quality in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; advanced degree preferred.
• Proven experience in design engineering, specifically valve design.
• Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T, ASME Y14.5).
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (PTC Creo) and 2D CAD (AutoCAD).
• Formal problem-solving experience in a manufacturing context.
• Project management experience, certification not required.
• Strong technical writing skills and experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) and Design for Manufacture.
• Strong analytical and technical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to mentor and lead engineering project teams.

Responsibilities
