This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable. As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for the design, testing, deployment, and maintenance of PLC and motion control software. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of various ground systems including GSE, EGSE, and facilities. The ideal candidate has a solid background in software development for control systems, as well as experience with electrical and hardware designs. A dynamic background with methods, products, and applications with some experience in an aerospace environment is a plus. In this role, you will work with the PLC Software team, continuing development of our common PLC software architecture and applications. You will prioritize work and set goals, perform technical work including design and troubleshooting. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining related processes and procedures and effectively communicating with the team and other Blue Origin departments (internal design teams, operations teams, the Quality organization, and business units).
