About The Position

OK Transportation's Student Engineer Intern Program is the Engineer Apprentice level, where incumbents are students attending a university and working a minimum of 20 hours per week who perform a variety of routine engineering tasks in a training status under close supervision. Incumbents will perform basic engineering tasks such as the review of less complex plans, the performance of basic engineering calculations, the writing of permits, the performance of computer modeling, and the inspection of parts of an engineering project.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in the Civil Engineering Undergraduate program at Oklahoma State University for Level I
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours toward a degree in Civil Engineering for Level I
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA for Level I
  • Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours/week for Level I
  • Enrolled in the Civil Engineering Graduate program at Oklahoma State University for Level II
  • Completed a bachelor's degree in civil engineering for Level II
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA for Level II
  • Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours/week for Level II
