About The Position

Works under the supervision of the Facilities Manager, Shift Supervisor or lead engineer. Makes needed repairs to maintain the property operation and responds to all guest complaints promptly and efficiently to avoid guest inconvenience or discomfort. Becomes thoroughly familiar with all phases of operation and maintenance necessary to operate and repair all water heaters, pumps and plumbing. Performs all repairs, maintenance, and replacement of parts for preventative maintenance schedule to ensure that equipment longevity, and accurately record all pertinent data. Continually assess the preventative maintenance schedule to ensure that equipment longevity, avoidance of repairs and down time, ease of operation, and efficiency are all being maximized pursuant to manufacturers recommendations. Becomes familiar with all Local, State, and NEC and standard as they apply. Installs new equipment and systems as directed. Performs weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual preventative maintenance on equipment. Assumes responsibility for training lesser-trained personnel in the building's electrical equipment and systems. Maintains tools and maintenance equipment. Ensures that all established rules, regulations, policies and procedures are strictly adhered to. Performs all other duties that may be assigned by the Facilities Manager or other authorized supervisors. Develops a positive working relationships with internal guests through open communication and timely and accurate job completion. Minimal absenteeism/ tardiness.

Requirements

  • Journeyman Engineer proficient in plumbing, welding, electrical, refrigeration, central plant, and boiler plant.
  • Completion and proof of technical training (QE-Qualified Employee).
  • Basic plumbing knowledge and boiler operator license (Level 3 or 4) or equivalent experience.
  • Field experience of 2 years and commercial experience of 1.5 years.
  • Experience in repair of kitchen equipment.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Ability to work in all climates and conditions, including confined and dusty areas.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Able to lift 75 lbs.
  • Good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Effective communication with two-way radio.
  • Possess a valid Nevada driver's license.

  • Prepare Bill of Materials for tasks.
  • Demonstrate understanding of standard operating procedures and organizational policies.
  • Show initiative in problem-solving and decision-making.
