  • Provides technical guidance and documentation for a variety of aircraft maintenance activities.
  • Assigned a group of aircraft systems (such as airframe interiors, hydraulics, pneumatics, flight controls, air conditioning, electrical power, and landing gear) to monitor the impact of common system problems that affect overall dispatch reliability.
  • Identifies adverse reliability trends in the assigned systems and develops recommendations for short term and long term corrective actions.
  • Presents project status and recommendations to various levels of management.
  • Reviews technical service documents for applicability, legality, and expected improvements in reliability and/or safety for the assigned systems.
  • Generates company engineering documents with modification instructions for use by maintenance and quality control personnel.
  • Interacts with type certificate holders, equipment suppliers, FAA, and external engineering firms to resolve technical problems and obtain necessary approvals.
  • Interfaces with company maintenance personnel and other departments as required in support of maintenance operations.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Willingness to travel on short notice or work outside normal business hours (including nights, weekends, and holidays) as required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently in a high-stress environment, without sacrificing focus on safety.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work closely with peers and co-workers in other departments and organizations.
  • Proficiency at creative problem solving and solution development using root-cause analysis and corrective action planning.
  • Fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA).
  • Possess the legal right to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language.
  • Comprehensive and diverse experience in Maintenance, Engineering, and/or Technical Support department working with aircraft systems.
  • Familiarity with MSG-3 analysis and aircraft maintenance programs.
  • Airframe and Powerplant license.
