The successful candidate should have Hull Outfitting Lead Design / Engineering experience, preferably in both new construction and RCOH. Familiarity with IDS 3D product model development, metrics, IDS processes, and contract requirements for both new construction and RCOH is strongly preferred. The successful candidate will act independently to perform technical planning, system integration, requirements development / verification, and cost and risk analyses for Hull Outfitting systems. Frequent contacts with internal organizations and outside customer representatives at various management levels concerning technical issues, scheduling, budgetary, contractual, or processes. Conducts briefings and participates in technical meetings for internal external representatives. Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between management, Planning, Construction, and Vendors. Candidate will ensure customer requirements are reflected in design solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies. The candidate must be able to manage a small group, track and assign work, and ensure deliverable dates and met. The successful candidate must be able to coordinate design criteria within E27 and work with other departments and external organizations. This individual will need excellent oral and written skills, and be comfortable directing personnel of various Design positions. Represents the department is various technical, operational, vendor, construction, and managerial meetings regarding tasks, projects, and operations. Virtually self-supervisory. Functions as fill-in department manager while the department manager is unavailable.
