About The Position

The Engineer 5 position at Nuclear Fuel Services (BWXT) involves working on complex projects with significant organizational impact. Requirements

• B.S. in Engineering.
• Ten years of engineering experience since B.S. degree (nine years with M.S. degree).
• Ability to communicate complex technical information effectively.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multifunctional team.
• Experience in writing and executing test plans for process development.
• Experience in writing technical reports and proposals.
• Ability to communicate with customers on project schedules and technical issues.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical specialist for the division in advanced theories and processes.
• Plan and direct the engineering effort on major projects.
• Conceptualize, plan, and execute research or investigations in complex areas.
• Develop product process acceptance criteria and monitor process yields.
• Lead process problem investigations and formulate cost-effective solutions.
• Conduct process effectiveness reviews and implement process changes.
• Stay updated on new scientific methods and customer requirements.
• Maintain liaison with individuals and units on technical matters.
