About The Position

An MRO Technician maintains, inspects, disassembles, rebuilds, and troubleshoots the CFM56-3/-7 engines of aircrafts to meet FAA standards. They will often work in hangars, repair stations, and on airfields. The position is full-time on an eight-hour schedule with occasional overtime and weekend work. MRO Technicians should have strong mechanical abilities and knowledge, be incredibly detail-oriented and thorough. An MRO Technicians should be skilled at working with complex information and equipment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • Must have basic mechanical skills
  • Must be fluent in English (written and verbal)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S
  • Pass pre-employment drug testing per FAA/DOT regulations

Nice To Haves

  • Airframe and/or Powerplant (A&P) FAA certification
  • +1 years of experience in engine maintenance
  • Previous engine maintenance experience in the aerospace field on turbine engines; CFM56-3/-7 preferred.
  • Candidate should be goal-oriented, detailed, and must work well in team environments and as an individual
  • Well-organized with basic computer skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Show careful diligence/attention in performing duties under normal mental stresses commonly associated with detailed mechanical/technical work.
  • Should be able to perform moderately strenuous physical tasks which include bending, stooping, kneeling, and working overhead for a long periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Performing Maintenance - Mechanic will carry out maintenance updates on different components and accessories of engines, such as but not restricted to, inspection, disassembly, reassembly, and troubleshooting.
  • Running Tests - Will run regular maintenance tests and checks to ensure that all components are working to full capacity and that the engine is safe to operate.
  • Installing Replacement Parts - Constantly perform regular installations of replacement parts in the CFM56-3/-7 engines which are faulty or damaged.
  • Creating Inventories of Supplies - Must keep an inventory of the stock, supplies and tools in possession. As well as a materials and equipment logs used for replenishment for future tasks and projects. Mechanics will also maintain repair logs, reports and documentation of what has been fixed or replaced.
