The Information Technology (IT) department of Enterprise Fleet Management builds and implements powerful solutions that help to drive and support the operations of our business spread across the US and Canada. Requirements

  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • This position offers the opportunity to work fully remote within the United States (must currently reside in one of the following states: AL, AZ, FL, GA, ID, IL (excludes Cook County), IA, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, MI, MO, NV, NM, NC, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WV, WI. Must be able to work a schedule within U.S. Central Standard Time core business hours.
  • Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
  • 3+ years’ experience in Java-based software development
  • Expert-level experience of Python
  • Proficient experience with RESTful web services, AWS Lambda and API Gateway
  • Knowledge in API security frameworks, token management and user access control including AWS Cognito/Azure, OAuth, JWT, OpenAPI, etc.
  • Proficient in querying a variety of data sources including APIs, RDBMSs, document stores, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
  • AWS Certifications: Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect (Associate), Developer (Associate)
  • Experience in CI/CD framework to create/modify CI pipelines using GIT (Bitbucket preferred)
  • Experience working on event-based services like SQS, SNS for data integration patterns with applications

Responsibilities

  • As an Engineer 2, you will be responsible for using your technical knowledge of professional concepts to solve business problems.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in their area of focus and represent their department on complex assignments.
  • Responsible for evaluating elements of technology's effectiveness through requirements gathering, testing, research and investigation and make recommendations for improvements that result in increased quality and effectiveness.
  • Listen to and evaluate customer needs to determine and provide high quality solutions that align with customer expectations.
