About The Position

This role will not be onboarded until August 20th, 2025 This role will assist the Engineering Managers in diagnosing, providing service, and repairs to resort equipment including electrical, plumbing, steam, gas, fire & safety, and HVAC refrigeration. This role will respond to inquiries and problems in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to achieve maximum customer satisfaction while complying with all Four Seasons’ policies. Engineer 1 will also be responsible for executing Preventive Maintenance Tasks per Four Seasons Operating Standards and assist with the planning, organizing, controlling and directing the workflow of engineering requests.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 + years previous experience plant maintenance and operation, including chillers, boilers hot water and steam, pumps, softeners, VFD, DB, pool equipment etc., certifications preferred.
  • Trade school in mechanics, refrigeration etc. strongly preferred
  • Requires technical knowledge of general building maintenance including HVAC equipment, plumbing, electrical in addition laundry and kitchen equipment knowledge is preferred.
  • Ability to operate computer equipment.
  • This role has direct contact with guests and as such, good communication skills are a necessity.
  • Ability to function well under pressure, set priorities and adjust to changing conditions.
  • Good organizational skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • The ideal candidate will have a confident, outgoing personality and a can-do approach to any request.
  • Position requires continuous standing for 8 or more hours a day and requires the ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Fluency in English is required for this location and this job requires applicants to have current work authorization in the in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Be part of the pre-opening team!
  • Responsible for repairs and maintenance of the building as required by the operation or special projects assigned by the Assistant Director of Engineering and/or Engineering Managers.
  • Diagnose and handle all repairs to equipment including motors, starters, breakers, boilers, chillers and associated equipment throughout the entire building and grounds.
  • Respond to service requests regarding maintenance of rooms and equipment in guest rooms or public area in a timely manner.
  • Assist to ensure proper execution of work order/request system and that items are followed up on when necessary. This includes scheduling, ordering, and initiating projects.
  • Install or relocate any additional equipment or existing equipment when necessary.
  • Adhere to preventive maintenance schedules, policies, and rules to ensure an efficient department.
  • Assist to maintain logs on movement of stock items and tools and monitor distribution of items.
  • Support the energy conservation program allowing the hotel to meet its annual budget targets.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with other employees, through good communication and teamwork.
  • Respond properly in any resort emergency or safety situation.
  • Ensure a clean, neat, and organized work area.
  • Attend and participate in all required meetings.
