Just look up. Are you ready to go beyond? The Pratt & Whitney Oklahoma City Heavy Maintenance Center (HMC) Assoc. Production Engineer (PE) will provide manufacturing process engineering work instructions and technical guidance to facilitate disassembly, repair, assembly, and testing of gas-turbine engines at the maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) facility in support of production delivery schedule.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree program in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Ability to write concise, easy-to-understand technical work instructions
  • Ability to work 1st shift (0700-1600), as well as extra time as necessary to ensure completion of assigned tasks; may be called in off-hours to answer job-related questions
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Operational experience in an MRO engine facility
  • Process or manufacturing experience on gas-turbine engines
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning systems such as SAP
  • Knowledge and experience using precision measuring instruments
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0

Responsibilities

  • Read and provide interpretation of technical data as necessary to support production
  • Participate in teams reviewing and investigating process breakdowns; perform root cause and corrective action on parts and processes that are not in control
  • Provide timely workscope definitions for engine and/or module repair that are comprehensive, clear, concise, cost effective, and meets customer-defined requirements
  • Approve standard work control documents used for maintaining engine/module hardware
  • Provide disposition to work control document changes using standard work processes and approved technical references for released work control documents
  • Provide technical assistance when verification of proper configuration of engine/module hardware is needed
  • Utilize robust standard work and desktop procedures for HMC PE processes
  • Perform any other related functions or support other MRO production lines as required by management to ensure the success of the enterprise
