About The Position

The Engine Technician II is a beginning to mid-level Powerplant-certified technician responsible for independently performing external engine builds and assisting with internal engine repair. This role requires a solid foundation in engine maintenance practices and the ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision, subject to standard inspection checks.

Requirements

  • Valid FAA Powerplant Certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in aviation engine maintenance.
  • Proficient in reading and applying technical manuals.
  • Capable of working independently on external engine assembly.
  • Basic understanding of internal engine repair processes.
  • Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and safety awareness.
  • Team-oriented with solid communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • FAA Powerplant License
  • Good speaking, hearing, visual ability, and excellent manual dexterity
  • Sitting for long periods of time.
  • Working in front of a computer monitor for long periods of time.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience and/or general knowledge in the CFM56, LEAP 1A/1B, GE CF34 and CF6-80C series engines as well as PW GTF Series is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Independently build and install QEC (Quick Engine Change) components on engines, requiring only final inspection sign-off.
  • Assist in internal engine repairs, including module removal, installation, and disassembly under guidance.
  • Follow AMM, ESM, and OEM documentation for all maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure accurate completion of maintenance records and documentation.
  • Maintain compliance with FAA regulations and company procedures.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized and adhere to all safety protocols.
  • Support training and guidance of junior technicians as needed.
