Core Responsibilities PM Equipment Identify potentially failing equipment reporting to Manager through work request form. Correctly identify and write down parts needed to build/complete projects to update and maintain the equipment and facility. Predict and correct potential equipment problems. Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair ammonia refrigeration, potable water, and boiler systems and their components throughout the facility. Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair plant equipment, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, piping systems, and general facility. Perform general mechanical work including installation, fabrication, and repair. Ensure work is done in accordance with all plant policies and procedures. Daily plant and wastewater checks – assist wastewater personnel as needed. Follow all guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures for the Engine Room. Follow all safety rules and policies. Wear proper safety equipment as required, including but not limited to wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, wearing SCBA for a period of 45 minutes, etc. Qualify and maintain hazmat responder status and repair technician status for any refrigeration related incident. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Tech school, seminars, in-house training, on-the-job training, and vendor training will also be considered.
  • General Maintenance ability.
  • Ability to maintain and operate boiler system, refrigeration compressors, air compressors, & wastewater systems.
  • Ability to read and understand P&ID’s.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to climb, lift, work at elevated heights and work wearing a respirator.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics to diagnose equipment.
  • Basic welding ability.
  • Employees must provide their own tools.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work overtime, rotating 12-hour shifts, weekends, holidays, attend outside training and work different shifts as needed.
  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Ammonia experience is preferred, Operator I & II is a plus
