We are looking for a talented Field Service Diesel Engine Technician / Mechanic to join our team specializing in engine repairs for our Distribution Business in White Bear Lake, MN. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: + Complete repairs and rebuilds on engine products in the field. + Develop productive customer relations and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs. + Apply documented procedures and policies to complete repairs and schedule maintenance, including preparing required parts and tools. + Assist with completion required documentation, such as work completed documentation, time sheets, warranty claims and quality forms, via handwritten forms or business system input screens. + Complete training in line with skill and business requirements + Ensure adherence to all meaningful Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor.

  • Completes complex internal engine repairs
  • Ability to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic tools
  • Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components
  • Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentatio
  • Must meet all requirements to drive a Company vehicle including a valid driver's license and insurance.
  • Must be able to physically lift 50 pounds occasionally, wear required personal protective equipment as required.
  • Locally valid driving permit
  • Significant field service work experience
  • Expert level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
  • Customer service experience
  • A current valid CDL is required for this role.
  • This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free of major violations
  • This role is subject to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) drug and alcohol testing requirements and on going random drug and alcohol testing
  • This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
  • This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use
  • Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age
  • Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred).
  • Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians (preferred)
