PACCAR Technical Center is seeking a motivated Engine Compliance Test Engineer to join the Engine Production Compliance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading Selective Enforcement Audit Testing (SEA) and High Mileage Testing (HMT). This role requires a strong background in diesel engine emissions testing, On-Board Diagnostics, and engine dynamometer testing. The engineer will conduct emissions testing on SEA/HMT test articles using an engine dynamometer, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. In this position, the engineer will research and support the acquisition of test articles and materials necessary for testing. They will develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets, coordinating and supporting engine dynamometer test activities both internally and at offsite locations. A key responsibility will be to lead comprehensive analyses of test data, escalating any issues as they arise. The engineer will prepare compliance test reports with supporting documentation and provide project status and progress reports to the project team and management. The role also involves supporting discussions and communications with regulatory agencies, developing processes and best practices for successful project execution, and making recommendations for continuous process improvements. Staying updated on changing EPA and ARB regulatory requirements is crucial. Collaboration with global engineering teams will be essential to build team knowledge, assure compliance, and maintain traceable documentation. The position may require travel, up to 6 weeks a year, both domestically and internationally.
