AbelsonTaylor Group is looking for 9 Chicago area-based interns to join our 2026 Summer Internship Program, nextgenerATion. Our internship program offers a rewarding experience that fosters creativity, collaboration, and inclusivity. You’ll collaborate with professionals across all levels, gaining hands-on experience to give you a competitive edge in your career. During the program, you’ll have the chance to engage with teams from various departments. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with fellow interns on an exciting, summer-long group project! Engagement Strategy Intern In a nutshell, our Engagement Strategy team helps ensure every concept and campaign connects with the target audience in the most meaningful and measurable way.

Requirements

  • An expected 2026 graduate, or a rising senior (graduating 2027).
  • You are a dependable, self-motivated professional who thrives in a hybrid schedule, with optional remote work on Mondays and Fridays, and required on-site presence in our Chicago office Tuesdays through Thursdays.
  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Communication, Advertising, or a related field
  • Organized and always up for a challenge
  • Strong writing skills with an ability to turn data into cogent stories and clear recommendations
  • Working comfort with spreadsheets and presentation tools such as PowerPoint
  • A creative problem-solver with a knack for knowing what content resonates with different audiences
  • Curious about the world around you, approaching the understanding of patient communities with cultural humility
  • A champion of diversity and an inclusive culture, who uses cultural competence to propel agency and client business forward

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with seasoned Engagement Strategists to understand the opportunities, nuances, and best practices of the paid and organic social media and content landscape
  • Get familiar with consumer trends, brand voice, culture, and the social media landscape to help inform the development of content plans and other creative or strategic client deliverables
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Intelligence team and other channel leads within the Integrated Strategy group to translate channel-based performance data into clear observations and recommendations grounded in the clients’ business goals
  • Assist with the ongoing SEO/GEO maintenance of patient and HCP-targeted websites using tools such as SEMRush, Screaming Frog and Google Search Console
  • Set up, monitor and report on brand and disease state conversation drivers using social listening tools such as Brand24
  • Co-develop internal video series meant to educate the agency on social media advertising best practices
  • Pull supporting research and apply learnings to help support audience profiling, audience adoption journeys and other strategic deliverables meant to enhance targeting and creative strategies for patients and healthcare professionals
  • Collaborate with fellow interns on a comprehensive, final project to feature in your professional portfolio
