As the Engagement Manager, you will play a crucial role in aligning leadership priorities with organizational systems and stakeholder engagement. You will manage executive workflows, enhance governance and board relations, oversee advancement processes, and support strategic initiatives that propel CNE's mission forward. This position requires strong judgment, exceptional communication skills, and both technical and relational expertise.

  • Manage the Executive Director's schedule and external relationships.
  • Serve as a thought partner to prepare for critical meetings and follow through on commitments.
  • Coordinate cross-departmental initiatives and track executive-level project progress.
  • Oversee donor engagement systems for accurate data management.
  • Manage acknowledgment processes, donor segmentation, and impact reporting.
  • Collaborate with the Advancement team on communications and stewardship strategies.
  • Manage logistics for board and committee meetings.
  • Support board committee meetings and serve as the liaison to the Executive Director and Board Chair.
  • Assist with board member onboarding and engagement initiatives.
  • Maintain and improve workflows and shared systems.
  • Ensure database integrity and provide accurate reporting for strategic decisions.
  • Identify and implement enhancements in digital tools and processes.
  • Lead planning and execution of key events and executive projects.
  • Manage timelines and cross-team collaboration for successful deliverables.
  • Represent the executive office with professionalism in all engagements.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in executive support, governance, or nonprofit management.
  • Proven ability to manage high-level projects and donor engagement with discretion.
  • Experience with donor management systems (Salesforce, Bloomerang, or similar) and data reporting.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Tech-savvy with a willingness to learn and optimize digital tools.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professionalism and capacity to handle confidential information.
  • Experience supporting a senior leadership team in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.
  • Knowledge of fundraising best practices and nonprofit operations.
