We are seeking a talented individual to join our IT Product Management team at Marsh. This role will be based in NYC. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. The Engagement Leader is a senior role positioned at the nexus of business strategy, initiative leadership, and technical delivery. This individual collaborates closely with business sponsors to shape strategy, leads cross-functional teams, and drives execution toward measurable outcomes without establishing permanent organizational silos or owning products end-to-end. Operating within a consulting-style engagement model in a large enterprise, the role focuses on leading high-priority initiatives by mobilizing diverse resources to deliver value and then transitioning to subsequent critical challenges. Adaptability to shifting domains and priorities is essential, as the role demands comfort with ambiguity and fluidity. We will count on you to: Co-own strategy with business sponsors by partnering with senior leaders to define priorities, challenge assumptions, and translate ambitions into executable plans that deliver measurable value. Lead cross-functional project teams end-to-end, mobilizing engineers, data specialists, analysts, and business experts to drive execution, unblock obstacles, and ensure momentum toward outcomes. Engage directly with technical and business workstreams, participating in architecture discussions, reviewing data models, and validating solutions with end users to lead with credibility. Build and hand off products, tools, or capabilities with clear transition plans to technology or AMS teams, then move on to the next strategic priority. Operate flexibly across multiple domains such as placement, claims, policy management, health & benefits, careers, and reinsurance, adapting to shifting organizational priorities. What you need to have: 8–12 years of experience in product leadership, consulting, digital transformation, or technology strategy within complex, matrixed organizations. Strong strategic thinking and execution skills, with the ability to balance vision and delivery discipline. Proven ability to lead diverse, cross-functional teams without direct authority, driving outcomes through influence and collaboration. Business and technical fluency, including a solid understanding of analytics, data platforms, ML/AI capabilities, and the ability to translate business problems into analytical solutions. Excellent communication and influencing skills, with a clear, concise style and the ability to challenge constructively. Comfort with ambiguity and fluidity, thriving in a role that requires adaptability and proactive problem-solving. What makes you stand out: Prior domain expertise in insurance brokerage, benefits consulting, or related platforms, especially in placement workflows, claims operations, or policy/binder management. Familiarity with modern AI-assisted development tools and the ability to rapidly prototype concepts to accelerate stakeholder feedback and iteration. A consulting mindset with experience leading ambiguous, high-impact initiatives that require building temporary teams, delivering value, and transitioning ownership smoothly. Demonstrated success in creating reusable frameworks, governance rhythms, and scalable delivery patterns that improve organizational capability. Why join our team: We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders. We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communities.
