About The Position

The Engagement Leader (EL) is a relationship development professional who provides local leadership, planning and execution of community and business development through: - Community engagement and activation activities in partnership with Thrivent Financial Advisors and their field leaders, and Thrivent Member Networks - Strategic relationship development with local organizations - Coordinated community growth and development efforts with local field leaders The EL leverages Thrivent’s community impact programs, focused on building financial health and inspiring generosity, to enable local relationship development, drive business growth and have a positive impact on community. The EL provides consultation and support resources to new and experienced Thrivent Financial Advisors, partnering with them to grow their networks and deepen relationships with their clients and community members, leveraging Thrivent’s community impact programs, tools, and resources. The EL works with advisors to develop an engagement plan that leverages Thrivent’s membership and community impact programs to differentiate their business in their community and drive stronger business and community impact results. This includes development and execution of community events and partnerships with the advisor as well as connections to other regional engagement events to grow and deepen client and community relationships. The EL builds relationships with community leaders and their organizations, churches, and local non-profit and business networks to strengthen Thrivent’s community impact outcomes and business results within the local market. They are proficient with the systems, processes, and playbooks for the execution of engagement and partnership activities, supporting a consistent and reliable experience for advisors and local community partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience
  • 3 or more years of related work experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience and comfort with presenting and facilitating meetings.
  • Experience and comfort with remote and hybrid work to support in-person meetings and events
  • Exceptional planning/organizing skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and CRM tools (Salesforce)
  • Ability to travel up to 50% and ability to flex- schedule to work evenings and weekends occasionally
  • Must have proper home office environment to conduct remote work.  This includes suitable high speed internet to conduct the business of the role.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Impact Increase awareness of Thrivent’s Community Impact and Membership programs with clients and communities.
  • Partner with advisors to help them raise awareness of Thrivent with their clients and communities by leveraging Membership and Community Impact programs.
  • Develop and activate strategic partnerships with organizations in the region(s), including churches, non-profits, and business networks to build opportunities for engagement.
  • Align impact strategies with growth strategies of the field by partnering with field leaders to develop and deliver integrated strategic plans tailored to growth markets and individual advisor growth priorities.
  • Develop centers of influence relationships in communities to grow awareness of Thrivent and opportunities to tell Thrivent’s story
  • Deliver Value to Clients Support advisors in building a client and community engagement plan l everag ing Thrivent’s membership and community impact programs and engagement strategies to grow their network, deepen their client relationships and differentiate their business in their local community.
  • Build and execute community engagement plans , with local advisors, that help Thrivent clients connect with the activities of the Thrivent Member Network
  • Work with and through advisors to activate clients to become advocates of Thrivent and their local advisor practice .
  • Grow Sales Build local engagement strategies in partnership with local market field leaders
  • Execute the local activities of the T hrivent Member Network to create opportunities for advisors to connect with members and prospective members , leading to advisor appointments from engagement activities .
  • Build aware ness of Thrivent in local communities with Thrivent’s Membership and Community Impact programs.
  • Raise awareness of the advisor career opportunity through engagement activities
  • Integrate Thrivent enterprise growth priorities into local engagement strategies – for example, new program rollout, sharing career opportunities, promoting Thrivent programs such as Thrivent Charitable, Money Canvas, Church Finance, Thrivent Bank, etc.
