About The Position

The Engagement Director plays a pivotal role in ensuring customer success by leading large and transformational engagements for Salesforce's strategic customers. This position involves acting as a trusted advisor, guiding both Sales and Professional Services teams, and ensuring alignment across customer projects to achieve high levels of satisfaction. The Engagement Director is responsible for delivering business value, managing executive relationships, and driving the execution of projects while leveraging deep expertise in the Salesforce platform.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of direct experience delivering and/or overseeing solutions on the Salesforce Platform.
  • 10+ years' experience delivering consulting services, including team leadership and involvement in selling professional services.
  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Experience supporting Federal Civilian agencies or Department of Defense initiatives.

Nice To Haves

  • 7+ years' operating in a pre-sales environment, shaping and scoping large and complex implementation projects.
  • 7+ years of enterprise-level project or program management experience.
  • Salesforce Application and/or System Architect certifications.
  • Demonstrated technical and/or functional proficiency in engaging with architects or SMEs in pre-sales activities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with executive-level presence.
  • Experience in managing professional service delivery for a software company (SaaS preferred).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high client satisfaction (CSAT) by consistently meeting/exceeding goals and metrics.
  • Ensure business value is realized for each customer engagement, leading to fully satisfied clients willing to be references.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to the Professional Services team to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Positively impact client services renewals by aligning customer success with the professional services roadmap.
  • Lead pre-sales activities, including the development of client-specific proposals and statements of work (SOWs).
  • Provide direct oversight to project teams during the full lifecycle of engagements.
  • Manage multiple strategic clients simultaneously and act as a trusted advisor.
  • Inspire and mentor team members, fostering an inclusive workplace.
  • Proactively mitigate and manage critical issues and at-risk accounts.
