Johnson County Mental Health is looking for qualified candidates to fill the position of full-time Engagement Coordinator working in the Prevention and Community Relations Division. The Engagement Coordinator will focus on building and maintaining relationships with staff through awareness, outreach, education and meaningful partnerships to support engagement within their role and within the center. First review of applications will be January 5th. Additional duties include: Conducts presentations as the subject matter expert and disseminates information to a variety of audiences based on tools that enhance effective leadership that focuses on strengths and understanding for success; participates in organizational and stakeholder groups; assists in the implementation of initiatives, including best and evidence based practices, using a variety of strategies and techniques. Collects and analyzes data to assess engagement opportunities; engages stakeholders to identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement; researches and implements initiatives to incorporate best practices at all levels; evaluates the effectiveness of initiatives and makes recommendations for improvements or enhancements. Assists with the collection and analysis of data to evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives; makes recommendations for improvements or enhancements to ensure initiatives are designed to accomplish desired objectives and outcomes. Provides input and assists in evaluating needs for awareness and behavioral change related to matters of organizational effectiveness; collects and disseminates information regarding trends and developments to maximize talent. Develops and implements short and long range organizational goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates organizational effectiveness; provides consultation to effect changes required for continuous improvement in employee engagement by understanding strengths and investing in strengths of others.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Public Health, Social Work, or a related field is required.
  • Two (2) years of experience in the area of focus.
  • Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record required.
  • Experience may be substituted for education.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years of experience presenting information to groups and two (2) years of experience in the collaboration and coordination of initiatives/activities and/or project management are preferred.
