About The Position

The Engagement Coordinator at the Environmental Resilience Institute (ERI) plays a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of the Indiana Resilience Funding Hub (IRFH) and coordinates community engagement efforts for IRFH and other outreach programs. This position is under the direction of the Assistant Director for Strategy and Engagement and is essential for fostering relationships with partner organizations. The coordinator will be responsible for designing and implementing program schedules, work plans, and project management tools that facilitate the effective operation of the IRFH. Additionally, the role involves coordinating external convenings, such as monthly webinars and the annual ERI conference, to enhance community engagement and outreach initiatives. The Engagement Coordinator serves as the primary contact for partners involved in the IRFH and other community projects, ensuring that communication and collaboration are maintained effectively. This includes assisting with the orientation and coordination of McKinney Climate Fellows associated with the IRFH, as well as developing tools to track and report program outcomes to various stakeholders. The coordinator will also support the growth and refinement of the IRFH and other strategic initiatives, providing quality control for project management databases and facilitating technical assistance to local governments and organizations. In addition to these specific responsibilities, the Engagement Coordinator will act as a liaison to key stakeholders in both public and private sectors, initiating and maintaining interactions that advance institutional initiatives. The role requires a deep understanding of the issues and needs of the initiatives and partners, enabling the coordinator to connect resources effectively. The position also involves collaborating with university and external partners to identify funding needs and potential sources, participating in the development of external funding proposals, and ensuring that project outcomes are operationalized effectively.
