About The Position

The ENG Videographer/Editor with a primary role of videography with editing responsibilities. The ideal candidate should have an understanding of cinematography; collaborate with the producer/director of project; shooting quality, compelling, and creative visual content. This videographer should have intermediate experience of cameras, lenses, and lighting; framing and camera movement; and knowledge of camera operation. They will travel light and work quickly, and the ideal candidate should be adaptable and nimble enough to capture moments as they happen. They must possess excellent people skills, a strong work ethic, and a great outlook. A passion for storytelling is essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications, Broadcast Media or Digital Cinema preferred or 2 or more years’ equivalent work experience.
  • Must be proficient in Avid and Premiere.
  • 2 years’ experience working in videography, TV (preferably in the sports and entertainment arena in a customer or client service capacity).
  • Proficient with Sony digital cinema camera.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and with multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt easily to rapidly changing conditions associated with a nationally televised sports entertainment environment.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the ability to direct lighting, set overall visual look and related technical specifications for projects and sound as a one-person crew or part of a team.
  • Ensure that all pictures and sounds are the highest quality and properly recorded.
  • Work closely with producers, talent, and professional athletes by providing support logistics and shot requirements.
  • Maintain all gear, keeping it up to date and in working order.
  • Able to troubleshoot quickly and effectively in a variety of circumstances.
  • Edit short and long features for broadcast, in arena, social and marketing.
  • Manage projects from start to finish, including concept development, filming, and basic editing to prepare content for review and distribution.
  • Edit video content for multiple platforms (broadcast, digital, and social), often on quick turnaround timelines.
  • Build polished, engaging stories with strong pacing, sound design, graphics integration, and clear narrative flow.
  • Adapt edits into different formats (short-form, long-form, vertical, horizontal) for platform needs.
  • Manage media assets, project files, and exports to ensure efficiency and consistency across all deliverables.
