At our Fort Wayne South site, we specialize in the commercial manufacturing of Aircraft/Engine Controls and Systems, which includes manufacturing Circuit Card Assemblies. Please use the following link to learn more about our US Controls and Avionics business: Controls & Avionics Solutions The Compliance Engineering Technician opportunity supporting our Aftermarket Teams will provide a pathway to Engineering opportunities within the plant through continuous education and on the job training. While in this role you will make impacts in the following ways: Working side-by-side with hourly and salaried team members to find and eliminate waste in our processes, as well as ensuring compliance in repairing our products. Reviewing customer and product repair requirements and ensuring compliance to customer purchase orders are a critical daily focus. Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles to continuously improve. As necessary, support our manufacturing floor in building standardized work instructions, and participating in Kaizen events and process walks. Additional Information: This position offers mutliple shifts that include 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Weekend Shifts with flexible start times. Requirements

  • Candidates must be strong in following and understanding technical documentation, analytical problem solving, and implementing creative systemic corrective actions
  • High School Diploma with 3 or more years relevant work experience.
  • E nter FAA mandated Anti-Drug Pool.
  • Subject to random drug testing
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems, utilizing root cause analysis
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and organize multiple activities in a team environment
  • Familiarity with automated and/or advanced manufacturing processes is a plus.
  • Associates degree in Engineering
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience
  • Skills and experience utilizing Oracle, Windchill or Data Analysis software
  • General understanding of electronics manufacturing processes
  • Exposure to Industry 4.0 concepts
  • Ability to interpret and apply specifications, standards, and customer requirements
  • Proficiency with MS Office Products
  • Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred degrees: industrial engineering, engineering technology, and other degrees with a focus on manufacturing
