ENG Field Photographer
About The Position
Fox News is looking for an experienced ENG Field Photographer to join our Washington, DC Bureau. The ENG Field Photographer will cover breaking news and planned events both domestically and internationally. You will work with other field photographers, field techs, satellite truck operators, engineers, field producers, and reporters. You must be willing and able to travel and work a variety of shifts, potentially on short notice. A valid driver’s license, passport, and a clean driving record are required. As ENG Field Photographer, you are comfortable covering breaking news events as a one-person team, including protests/riots, rallies, and war zone conflicts. You are equally comfortable using traditional and large production cameras, including multi-camera shoots using full sensor cinematic cameras. This includes the lighting techniques associated with high-end production. This shift will include working on one or both weekend days (Saturday and/or Sunday).
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in the field
- In-depth Knowledge of Sony/Panasonic ENG cameras and file workflow operations
- Strong lighting skills and experience with long-format shoots
- Understanding of satellite, microwave, fiber, and truck transmissions/operations
- Working knowledge of field audio mixers
- Ability to mix and route audio for multiple camera shoots
- Experience with video photography and non-linear video editing
- Experience with lighting techniques
- Familiarity with streaming technologies, satellite news-gathering vehicles
- Willingness to be trained on a transmitting satellite camera crew vehicle
- Valid driver’s license and passport
- A clean driving record is required, CDL a plus
- Willingness to be trained to drive a larger vehicle
- Flexibility to adapt to a 24-hour news organization, including overtime and weekends
- Willingness and availability to travel last minute frequently
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of full-frame cinematic cameras is a plus
- Adobe Premiere editing is a plus

- Safely driving company-owned and rental vehicles
- Extensive, last-minute travel for breaking news
