" POSITION SUMMARY The Petroleum Sales Representative is responsible for managing and growing sales with an assigned customer base of current and prospective customers and developing relationships with customers. Requirements

  • Knowledge of fuel operations.
  • Knowledge of current office practices and procedures and knowledge of the operation of standard office equipment and software.

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
  • English Proficiency
  • Must be 18 years or older.

Nice To Haves

  • CDL with hazmat or ability to obtain in six (6) months

Responsibilities

  • Generates new sales contacts through sales calls with assistance from the Sales Manager, Location Manager, and other sales associates.
  • Develops personal sales and service skills, as well as product knowledge, by attending product, fuel, and cooperative meetings as assigned by the Sales Manager.
  • Establishes new accounts by planning and organizing a daily work schedule to call and visit existing or potential customers.
  • Builds relationships and forms mutual trust with new and current customers to understand their needs.
  • Maintains accurate reports and records, and reviews order status and customer sales activity of the region
  • Participates and assists in the planning and execution of the Energy team strategy, business plans, and marketing efforts.
  • Maintains company facilities, personal workspace, company equipment, and company vehicles; performing cleaning and maintenance to maintain a clean and safe environment for customers and co-workers.
  • Responds to customer inquiries and orders in a timely and professional manner
  • Grows and maintains business with customers assigned by management.
  • Adheres to all safety regulations, requirements, policies, and procedures, including OSHA regulations, the Vehicle Policy and Fleet Safety Program, and DOT regulations.
