As a Comprehensive Solutions Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing long-term customer relationships with building owners to maximize account penetration and customer retention with contractors and consulting engineer/architect accounts. You will provide knowledge and consultation in the form of developing solutions for customer problems, including financial and performance-based consideration. Your focus will be on providing customers with a total solution for the most energy efficient buildings. Requirements

  • 5+ years of demonstrated executive selling experience or Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years experience in executive selling, preferably within the MUSH market (municipal, utility, healthcare and education vertical markets)
  • Candidates without a 4-year degree are encouraged to apply; we prioritize practical experience, relevant skills, and alignment with our leadership principles.
  • Must be accustomed to and have documented success in financial sales with long, complex, and multi-tiered sales cycles in both public and/or private sectors.
  • Must be accustomed to speaking and selling to decision-making individuals and groups such as, but not limited to, CEO’s CFO’s Business Managers, Technology Officers, Council Members, Board Members, City Managers, County Managers, Superintendents, and other high-ranking officers, etc.
  • Has expertise in the financial, legal, and technical aspects of deal structuring with multiple buying influences within a client
  • Outstanding communication skills – able to educate clients about Trane’s Design Build & Energy Services offerings, persuasively articulating costs, savings, investment opportunities, and long-term options for infrastructure renewal and decarbonization.
  • DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State with no major or frequent traffic violations included, but not limited to: DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years. within 1 Year Required

Responsibilities

  • Identify and close large deals or sales opportunities
  • Provide knowledge and consultation to our customers on the financial drivers, legislation and requirements for energy and outcome-based driven sales
  • Work collaboratively with a cross-functional internal team of Project Development, Energy Engineering, and Project Management resources to develop system-related solutions for the customer’s challenges and opportunities, including financial and performance-based considerations.
  • Develop multiple relationships with buying influencers and critical decision makers in the customer’s organization, including facility managers, project managers, project engineers, purchasing, legal, and finance officers.
  • Determine needs, develop, and execute an account specific business plan to identify the long term, mutual support requirements required to facilitate a strong, profitable, and successful partnership.
  • Convert leads into opportunities by assigning the appropriate sales process, identifying the required project team members, making assignments, and communicating the next steps in the process.
  • Gather and validate preliminary information and perform facility walkthrough, construction plan review or other requirements.
  • Responsible for project take-off, selection, proposal pricing and selling strategy, and integration of equipment, controls, and services.
  • Assist customers in answering technical questions on energy systems, Trane products, and system application alternative, controls, installation, operation, maintenance, and problem resolution.
  • Travel to customer job sites is required, which may include outdoor work and/or work in mechanical/equipment rooms. During the site visits, the employee may be exposed to variable weather conditions; moving mechanical parts; heights, and other variable environmental conditions based on location.
