About The Position

As a Full-Time Energy Services Billing Administrator at Arizona G&T Cooperatives, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial operations within the energy sector. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of activities, including transaction accounting, power and transmission billing, and customer billing. You will also handle economy billing and monthly reporting, while managing SWTC's Open Access Transmission Tariff (OATT) and associated rates. Additionally, you will be tasked with pre-scheduling transmission for SWTC and coordinating total system load with the Western Area Power Administration (WAPA). Your expertise will be key in conducting after-the-fact checkouts for energy and transmission transactions and implementing new agreements. Furthermore, you will provide essential technical support in developing transmission and ancillary service rates and contribute to contract development and required studies. This multifaceted role allows you to impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our billing processes significantly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or related technical field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in Energy Services billing related functions.
  • Basic knowledge of OASIS scheduling, NERC Tagging and MCG software.
  • Basic knowledge of FERC requirements for Transmission Operations, Interconnection Requests, and Open Access Same-time Information System (OASIS).
  • Basic knowledge of Class A Full and Partial Requirements contracts and Hourly Cost Causation accounting and software.
  • Basic knowledge of after the fact energy and transaction accounting, settlement, and billing for transmission and off-system sales/ purchases with counterparties.
  • Basic knowledge of member/customer energy, transmission, and service billing.
  • Basic understanding of the MV-90 system, VEE, Open Access Technology software, energy management system.
  • Basic knowledge of SAP and data reporting.
  • High mathematical, organizational, and analytical skills and ability.
  • High proficiency with PC and Excel.
  • Ability to learn and work independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience can be substituted for requirements listed above.

Responsibilities

  • Administration of the MV90 computer to obtain daily interval data, review and compare to RTU/HMI interval data by delivery point.
  • Incorporate electronic tags and the OASIS transactions into daily preschedules for comparison between OATI tags and MCG.
  • Validate the accuracy of transaction data in MCG and the Member Hourly Cost Causation (HCC), including implementing and testing changes in the HCC software.
  • Perform after the fact checkout for energy and transmission transactions with ACES and/or counterparties and preparing billings; resolve billing issues, including transaction, curtailment, and contract issues.
  • Prepare monthly energy, transmission, customer, and economy billings; archive data for internal records and provide customers with requested monthly data.
  • Provide billing and accounting for Arizona Power Pooling Association.
  • Archive data for internal records and provide members and customers with requested monthly data; prepare monthly member and customer reporting to internal departments; enter financial settlement data into SAP.
