Job Purpose and Impact The Energy Merchant will handle a moderately complex supplier base and fulfill transactions to deliver natural gas that meet plant production requirements in terms of timing, volume, quantity, and cost. In this role, you will manage usage across multiple plants and buy and sell energy to minimize costs. Key Accountabilities Collaborate with suppliers and pipeline transporters to ensure natural gas properly scheduled pursuant to internal and/or external plant nominations. Support origination of natural gas across portfolio; plan purchases and transportation to minimize cost and optimize use of contracted assets. Enter routine data and run reports from our Trade and Risk Management system. Research and analyze various opportunities in the marketplace to reduce costs and maximize business margins. Work directly with internal and external customers, suppliers or business counterparts to meet their needs in solving routine problems and addressing complaints and concerns including usage, accruals and invoicing. Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff. Other duties as assigned. #LI-BG1 #FGB #themuse
