Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Big 4/public accounting and/or industry.
  • Operational upstream and/or midstream accounting experience.
  • CPA required.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • A high sense of urgency, strong initiative and the ability to multi-task.

Nice To Haves

  • Joint Interest Billing (JIB) accounting experience.
  • Revenue accounting experience.
  • Production accounting experience.
  • Leasing Operating Statement (LOS) analysis and review experience.
  • Special projects accounting experience.
  • Experience navigating in the following systems: OGsys, Enertia, WolfePak, BOLO, and/or P2.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the leadership of our oil & gas financial advisory division.
  • Assisting with hands-on financial information package consulting, analysis, M&A, etc.
  • Ensuring all clients are taken care of in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner.
  • Working closely with clients and experiencing multiple aspects of financial advisory, transactions, and strategy.
