The Energy Efficiency Specialist will directly support site teams to identify onsite energy efficiency opportunities and project manage / implement energy efficiency opportunities to deliver the targeted savings across the United States. Will work with local Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Controls teams on operational standards and roll out of portfolio wide efficiency initiatives. This position drives consistency in implementation of standards and site equipment operation for its most efficient operation across the assigned region and supports the business in the delivery of its energy efficiency programme and sustainability targets.

Requirements

  • Experience of managing and delivering energy reduction projects or activities
  • Experience of energy site audits / assessments
  • Experience of verification and validation of delivered savings – IPMVP experience desirable
  • Experience of creating and presenting business cases for energy reduction projects
  • Engineering and energy management background and experience
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience of working in mission critical environment within a large company, IT/Telecoms industry preferred
  • Experience of working in a large portfolio structure across multiple sites and countries
  • Experience of working in a European multi-cultural environment
  • Proficient in English language both written and verbal
  • Second European language written and verbal desirable

Responsibilities

  • Visit sites and nurture relationships with all site teams to enable ongoing support in the identification and delivery of energy reduction projects
  • Produce business cases and funding requests for energy reduction projects
  • Management and implementation of central team energy reduction initiatives with all site teams
  • Be the conduit between the central team and site teams for updates to the programme, processes, tools and training
  • Maintain and update energy project tracking reports
  • Support the annual capital planning process
