About The Position
Elysian Energy is seeking a Residential Energy Project Specialist to play a crucial role in analyzing data from Home Performance with Energy Star audits and creating proposals for energy efficiency improvements. This position is ideal for candidates who have a background in energy auditing and are looking to transition from fieldwork to a more data-driven role that involves training and customer solution development. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing data modeling for energy audits using industry-standard software, creating detailed audit reports, and conducting HVAC and electrical load calculations. In addition to technical skills, the Residential Energy Project Specialist will develop practical scopes of work within program parameters and for larger scale projects. Clear and effective communication of audit findings and recommendations to homeowners is essential, as is the ability to research emerging technologies related to residential energy efficiency and electrification/decarbonization projects. The role also involves coordinating with subcontractors and internal contracting staff on multi-phased projects, providing training and support to auditors as needed, and performing related administrative tasks using computers and mobile technology. This position is hybrid, allowing for work from the Laurel office and from home, with occasional fieldwork in various locations including Baltimore City, Montgomery, Prince George's, Howard, Anne Arundel, and Baltimore Counties, as well as Washington DC. The Residential Energy Project Specialist will report directly to the Audit Program Manager, contributing to the overall mission of Elysian Energy to promote sustainability and energy efficiency in residential buildings.
