About The Position

The Program Outreach Apprentice position at TRC Advanced Energy is a 14-week, paid opportunity designed to equip individuals with the skills necessary to effectively communicate about energy efficiency and renewable energy initiatives. The role focuses on outreach strategies to engage the community, educate customers on energy savings, and support the outreach team in various capacities, including data analysis and event preparation.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong time management skills.
• Basic computer skills, including experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
• Ability to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
• Verifiable work history.
• Strong interest in the sustainability and energy efficiency industry.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and summarize data and trends within given markets to provide sector intelligence.
• Execute an established outreach plan for the program's brand and message.
• Develop outreach strategies to address specific sectors and markets.
• Identify outreach opportunities by understanding customer requirements and how the program can reach them.
• Provide one-on-one assistance to customers and contractors regarding energy savings opportunities and program offerings.
• Manage and track campaigns, opportunities, activities, and contacts using the program's CRM database.
• Monitor organizations with a presence in the assigned market sector.
• Represent TRC and clients at virtual and in-person trade shows, conferences, and local events to promote program offerings.
• Provide event and project tracking, reporting, invoicing support, and other administrative duties.
• Demonstrate problem-solving ability with a proactive and collaborative style.
