About The Position

RERI a wholly owned subsidiary of VectR Corporation (VRC), is a leading energy services researcher that specializes in energy efficiency, sustainability, and infrastructure modernization solutions in the government, education, healthcare, commercial, and industrial sectors. Accredited by the National Association of Energy Companies (NAECO) as an energy research lab, RERI's comprehensive solutions include facility-wide audits, engineering and design services, construction and project management, operations and maintenance, and measurement and verification of savings. We are looking for a dynamic and highly driven individual to join our team as an Energy Efficiency Account Manager. The Energy Efficiency Account Manager will be responsible for sourcing energy efficiency opportunities, investigating new business opportunities, marketing to potential clients and building relationships within and across industries.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of outside sales and/or business development experience
  • Exceptional relationship building and management skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and client service
  • Ability to connect quickly with others and establish rapport
  • Self-starter and highly motivated to excel
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment

  • Proven track record of success in a business development or sales position
  • Ability to travel within geographic area of Baltimore Gas and Electric customers, which may include Howard County and Anne Arundel County
  • Flexibility to work outside of a standard forty (40) hour work week schedule, which may include evenings, nights, and weekends
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience using CRM

Nice To Haves

  • Energy industry experience is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and develop new business through building and existing relationships with professional organizations and trade allies
  • Participate in foundational conversations, promote BGE Smart Energy Savers Programs and share information about the program benefits
  • Identify and source energy efficiency opportunities through a multifaceted approach, to include outbound sales calls, emails and outreach efforts
  • Work in support of various utility sponsored programs that encourage energy-efficiency in the commercial and industrial markets
  • Attend meetings and events with prospective clients.
  • Attend and participate in networking events
  • Act as the customer’s advocate to ensure the customer obtains accurate knowledge of efficiency rebate programs in the market place
  • Apply knowledge of additional state and federal funding programs to drive deeper energy savings.
  • Remain current on market research and trends
  • Track state, local and federal energy policies
  • Maintain and update information in CRM system
  • Educate and increase customer awareness of bottom line benefits resulting from energy conservation solutions
  • Participate in and support traditional and digital marketing campaigns and initiatives
  • Assist with additional projects and initiatives as needed
