We are currently seeking a Trade Ally Manager I (Remote) located in the greater Salt Lake, UT area to join our Energy Efficiency Programs team. As the Energy Efficiency Trade Ally Manager, you will have a broad impact on energy efficiency markets and greenhouse gas reductions through our work for North American Program Administrators and other national leaders in energy efficiency. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years of work experience in a related position(s) with a Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of 4 years of work experience in a related position(s) in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
  • Willingness to conduct frequent business travel locally 20-30% in Utah and potential travel to Idaho and Wyoming and occasional travel (less than 5%) to conferences and west coast
  • Experience with Energy Efficiency preferred
  • Ability to build relationships with market actors and trade allies and be comfortable through phone calls, emails and face to face meetings
  • Familiarity with the HVAC and/or lighting preferred
  • Work experience in sales, HVAC or lighting at a dealer/distributor or contractor preferred
  • Exposure to construction supply chain is a bonus, but not required
  • Ability to interact professionally with clients and present in primary role
  • Excellent business acumen and communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work and thrive independently
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and Salesforce to track activity preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting the development, enhancement, and maintenance of organizational relationships with lighting dealers and HVAC distributors and manufacturers
  • Travel to trade ally/market actor locations with the goal of driving energy efficiency incentive program performance, building rapport, providing program support and solidifying connection(s)
  • Serve as a go-to resource and conduit between Energy Solutions program leads and Outreach and Trade Ally Team (OTAT)
  • Track and report market activity and developments to develop in-depth knowledge and ability to accurately predict market activity
  • Contribute to and support outreach plans for new programs (program launch) and existing programs
  • Analyze program-level participation statistics, market and economic data, and regulatory activity to determine sales potential and monitor performance trends
  • Contribute to the development of trade ally and market actor relationships – managing and building out best practice documentation relating to trade ally and market actor relationships
  • Develop familiarity with public data resources and finding relevancy to Energy Solutions’ strategic interests, and report development as appropriate
  • Support distributors and contractors with program training and events
  • Provide program support to market actors in helping them participate in the program and submitting rebate claims
  • Participate in program meetings and planning sessions
