About The Position

The Energy Associate supports sales, operations, and customer service efforts in the fuel, propane, lubricants, and renewable energy sectors. This role involves assisting customers, managing accounts, processing orders, and ensuring efficient energy distribution. The ideal candidate will understand energy products, customer relationship management, and market trends.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is normally required, with a bachelor's degree in Energy Management.
  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience in energy services, sustainability, or a related field is also preferred.
  • Obtain a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with required endorsements (e.g., HazMat, Tanker) within six months of employment and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Requires CETP Certification or the ability to become certified within 3 months. Must attend CETP training courses and achieve a passing score.
  • Follow safety and compliance standards to help ensure their well-being and the safety of others.
  • Route delivery and sales experience are preferred, as they demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Basic understanding of energy efficiency, renewable technologies, and sustainability practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make actionable recommendations.
  • Proficiency in energy management software is a plus.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions, during peak seasons, and outside of normal hours throughout the year to meet deadlines and demands.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on safety and compliance.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as required for loading and unloading.
  • The role involves physical labor, including lifting and moving heavy products.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Provide Exceptional Customer Service.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in selling and distributing fuel, propane, lubricants, and renewable energy solutions.
  • Provide customer support, including order processing, inquiries, and issue resolution.
  • Maintain and update customer accounts, contracts, and billing records.
  • Support the sales team by identifying new business opportunities and managing leads.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and industry developments.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
  • Optimize operations and collaborate with internal logistics, marketing, and finance teams.
  • Assist with inventory tracking, scheduling deliveries, and managing supply chain logistics.
  • Educate customers on energy products, sustainability initiatives, and efficiency solutions.
