Additionally, the reporter will cover business news in the Bismarck metro area and across the state, focusing on sectors like the medical industry (Bismarck is a regional medical hub with two hospital systems) and the emerging cryptocurrency data center scene. The Bismarck Tribune is an award-winning newspaper known for its leadership in energy coverage and its willingness to undertake complex projects. The position is based in Bismarck, North Dakota's second-largest city, which offers outdoor recreation along the Missouri River, a growing food and culture scene, and prime hunting and fishing opportunities, all with the amenities of a big city but without the traffic and high cost of living.
