Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) team is responsible for the full lifecycle of Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure, spanning site selection, development, and operations. Our global footprint includes more than 400 datacenters in 34 countries, supported by over 165,000 miles of fiber optic cable. These facilities form the backbone of Microsoft Azure and are central to our commitment to reliable, secure, and sustainable digital infrastructure. The CO+I Energy Analytics team builds data platforms and insights that support Microsoft’s global datacenter growth and sustainability goals. We work across the CO+I Energy Team to translate complex energy data into trusted, actionable insights that inform decisions at scale. Our work helps the Energy Team plan, operate, and optimize responsibly as Microsoft continues to grow its cloud footprint worldwide and solidify its leadership in providing infrastructure for the global AI economy. As a Technical Program Manager, Energy Analytics, you will be focused on developing the business analytics and actionable insights required to operate and scale one of the world’s largest corporate energy portfolios. A successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the utility industry, energy markets, and regulated rates. They will have the ability to identify and solve problems, collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs, and independently drive initiatives to completion. They will bring an innovative, collaborative presence to the role to enable energy analytics to scale with confidence as our portfolio grows, helping the business realize growth goals, manage costs, and meet sustainability targets.
