About The Position

FRONTIER COOPERATIVE is an agriculture leader in Nebraska providing grain, agronomy, feed and energy products and services to our customers. We are now hiring for a Energy Advisor for our Elmwood, NE location. This position is being offered as full-time with benefits.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of energy products and services, sales practices, and customer service principles.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business software.
  • Valid driver’s license required; ability to obtain a Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements and forklift certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Business or a related field preferred.
  • Two years of sales or business development experience in the energy industry preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, employees, and vendors while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Promote and sell propane, refined fuels, bulk oil, and related services to new and existing customers through a relationship-based sales approach.
  • Develop proposals and quotations, negotiate pricing with management approval, process invoices, and resolve billing or service issues.
  • Coordinate fuel and propane tank installations
  • Monitor fuel markets, track customer fuel usage, anticipate product needs, and assist in purchasing wholesale refined and diesel fuels.
  • Coordinate fuel deliveries and logistics with trucking partners and manage retail fuel pricing based on market conditions.
  • Manage inventory of packaged oils and lubricants, including ordering, pricing, product placement, and inventory tracking.
  • Coordinate propane tank installations with customers and staff while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and safety standards.
  • Represent the company through on-site visits, farm shows, community events, and other industry activities.
  • Maintain product knowledge and industry awareness through training and professional development.
  • Follow all company policies and OSHA/EPA safety standards.
