About The Position

The End User Technology Engineer is responsible for the design, engineering, deployment, and support of end user technology solutions across the organization. This includes setting hardware/software standards, engineering secure device images, managing patching and software deployment, and overseeing the full lifecycle of desktop, mobile, and POS devices. This position also administers key IT support platforms, ensures reliable and secure delivery of desktop/mobile technology, and serves as the primary escalation point for the IT Service Desk. The ideal candidate is highly technical, self‑driven, and committed to elevating the end user experience through scalable engineering practices.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Service Desk, Desktop Engineering, or End User Technology.
  • Expert-level experience engineering and supporting Windows and macOS environments.
  • 5+ years of MECM/SCCM experience (software deployment, imaging, patching).
  • 5+ years of Intune / Modern Endpoint Management experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with SharePoint Online or Google Drive.
  • 3+ years working with MDM platforms.
  • Strong automation skills (PowerShell preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Proven diagnostic, troubleshooting, and decision‑making capabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience developing PowerShell scripts to automate end user technology workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall design, strategy, and maintenance of end user technology solutions.
  • Provide innovative, cost-effective engineering solutions to improve efficiency, reliability, and integration across the EUT ecosystem.
  • Evaluate and define standards for end user hardware and software.
  • Own software packaging, deployment, and lifecycle management across Windows, Mac, and mobile platforms.
  • Serve as the primary Level II/III escalation point for end user hardware and software issues.
  • Coach and mentor Service Desk team members to build technical capability and accountability.
  • Identify and track KPIs to measure and optimize end user technology operations.
  • Create, test, and maintain standard workstation and mobile device images.
  • Test, evaluate, package, and deploy software and patches for workstations and tablets.
  • Research and resolve production issues related to defects, performance, or system inconsistencies.
  • Execute upgrades, maintenance, troubleshooting, and remediation tasks.
  • Gather and act on customer feedback to proactively improve the user experience.
  • Package, test, and deploy software via MECM/SCCM or Intune.
  • Design and maintain Group Policy Objects (GPOs) for security and configuration management.
  • Manage Apple Business Manager and Intune for macOS devices.
  • Develop automation scripts in PowerShell for deployment, configuration, and administrative tasks.
  • Provide expert consulting on hardware/software solutions for end users.
  • Configure, manage, and optimize the organization’s SharePoint environment.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, including after-hours incident response and occasional travel.
  • Perform other duties and project work as assigned.
