About The Position

As an Endpoint Engineer, you will play a crucial role in helping government agencies understand and mitigate cyber threats. Your expertise in systems and network security will be essential in assessing risks, developing mitigation plans, and translating complex security concepts for clients. This position offers an opportunity to actively engage in information security while enhancing your skills in cloud computing and working collaboratively with a team of engineers.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Information Assurance (IA) or Cybersecurity, specifically with McAfee ePO administration or configuration.
  • 1+ years of experience applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
  • 1+ years of experience with vulnerability remediation on Windows Server or Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu).
  • Knowledge of network security and incident response procedures.
  • Familiarity with AWS Cloud security and vulnerability scanning tools like Nessus and ACAS.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity policy fundamentals and NIST 8510.01, with the ability to translate these policies to frameworks such as ISO.
  • Secret clearance is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level II or IAT Level III Certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Ability to obtain McAfee Certified Product Specialist - ePO Certification within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with C5ISR Center.
  • Experience with CVEs and application security, including securing CI/CD pipelines, SonarQube, or Fortify.
  • Experience with data governance.
  • Experience with DoD Risk Management Framework.
  • Experience with securing cloud infrastructure and applications in AWS GovCloud.
  • Top secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Assess cyber risks for government agencies and develop actionable mitigation plans.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather technical, environmental, and personnel details.
  • Guide clients through security concepts and help them make informed decisions to secure their systems.
  • Create presentations, white papers, and milestones to communicate plans of action effectively.
