About The Position

The Endpoint Engineer 3 is a senior technical role responsible for providing advanced support, maintenance, and engineering for endpoint devices (desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals) across the organization. This position acts as a subject matter expert for endpoint management, troubleshooting complex issues, and implementing solutions that enhance device security, performance, and user experience. This is an onsite role in Marlborough, MA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience supporting and managing endpoint devices in a medium-to-large enterprise environment.
  • Expert-level proficiency in endpoint management platforms - especially Intune.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and MacOS operating systems; experience with mobile device management (MDM) for iOS and Android.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell.
  • Deep understanding of endpoint security (antivirus, encryption, patch management).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience with remote troubleshooting tools and techniques.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, CompTIA Security+, etc.)
  • Experience in cloud-based endpoint management.
  • Experience with other scripting languages like Bash or Python
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an escalation point for Level 1 and Level 2 endpoint support engineers, resolving complex technical issues related to hardware, operating systems, applications, and peripherals.
  • Design, implement, and manage endpoint management solutions (e.g., Intune, SCCM, Automox).
  • Develop and maintain automated deployment and configuration scripts for endpoint devices.
  • Develop/improve/automate helpdesk processes related to Endpoints
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with endpoint security policies, including antivirus, encryption, patching, and vulnerability management.
  • Collaborate with IT security, network, and application teams to integrate endpoint security controls and remediate vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with ServiceNow team to maintain and improve CMDB (Configuration Management Database) data and processes
  • Manage CMDB data for endpoints to ensure accuracy of information within the Service Now platform.
  • Participate in large-scale endpoint rollouts, upgrades, and migrations.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation for processes, procedures, and configurations.
  • Research and recommend improvements to endpoint architecture, tools, and processes.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior engineers and support staff.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in endpoint management.
