About The Position

The Endoscopy Technician is responsible for the preparation, processing, maintenance, inventory of endoscopes and accessory equipment in the Endoscopy Unit; assists in the performance of all procedures in the Endoscopy Unit.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Successful completion of Central Sterile Supply Technician Program.
• Prior experience performing the tasks of Endoscopy Technician.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Certified Endoscope Preprocessor.
• Certification from the International Association of Healthcare Central Service.
• Demonstrated ability to do arithmetic.
• Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of endoscopes and accessory equipment.
• Processing and maintenance of endoscopes.
• Managing inventory of endoscopes and related equipment.
• Assisting in the performance of all procedures in the Endoscopy Unit.
