About The Position

The Endoscopy Technologist position at Brunswick Endoscopy Center involves assisting with patient care and related services under the direction of Physicians and Registered Nurses. The technologist must be capable of caring for both adult and pediatric populations. Responsibilities include organizing supplies and equipment in the endoscopy suites/operating room, assisting with direct patient care throughout the entire patient experience, including pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure phases. The individual will be responsible for assembling required equipment and supplies, assisting the physician during procedures, performing specimen collection, labeling, and transportation. Additionally, the role includes assisting in room turn-around, ensuring appropriate cleaning of equipment and supplies, and understanding sterile and non-sterile techniques.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • Two years endoscopy experience, preferred.
  • Endoscopy Technician Certification, preferred.
  • Endoscopy Technician Certification within one year of hire, preferred.
  • Knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient age.
  • Ability to interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care relative to age-specific needs.
