Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS for Healthcare Providers) through AHA, ARC, or Military Training Network (or current ACLS and/or PALS).
  • Ability to provide safe, competent support across all applicable patient age groups.

Nice To Haves

  • LPN, CST, CNA, EMT, MA training or equivalent medical background.
  • Previous experience assisting with procedures in an Endoscopy unit.
  • Strong technical aptitude, familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy, and ability to work collaboratively in a procedural setting.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, prepare, and assist with diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
  • Communicate directly with the physician and RN to anticipate and prioritize needs.
  • Perform equipment checks, troubleshoot issues, and manage inventory in your specialty area.
  • Maintain aseptic technique and take corrective action when needed.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of supplies, equipment, and services provided.
  • Assist with emergency situations as directed by the RN or physician.
  • Participate in quality monitoring activities and help support 24‑hour department coverage.
  • Demonstrate and model the Saint Alphonsus Mission, Vision, and Values.
