About The Position

We are searching for a Endoscopy Technician to collaborate with our GI team in support of patient care services at our clinics located in Boise and Nampa. This is a wonderful opportunity to gain on the job training and experience in our Teaching Health Center. Purpose The Endoscopy Technician assists with delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of the Procedures Nursing Manager. The Endoscopy Technician is responsible for the decontamination, cleaning, processing, high level disinfection and or terminal sterilization of flexible endoscopes and ancillary equipment following established infection control practices. Schedule - 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday with the opportunity for evenings or Saturday morning rotations. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant program required.
  • Successful completion of Pentax evaluation for competency required. The timeline for competency evaluation may vary dependent upon scheduling with Pentax. Competency must be demonstrated prior to the conclusion of the 90-day probationary period.
  • Meets established Credentials Committee requirements for MA or CNA scope of practice including fully credentialed, licensed and privileged as well as the ability to pass a background check.

  • We require immunizations for all staff to include an annual influenza vaccine as a requisite for employment. Newly hired staff who are not able to be vaccinated due to medical reasons or sincerely held religious beliefs must apply for vaccination exemption prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • At least one year of experience in a clinic/outpatient setting, preferred.
  • Instrument Sterilization / Reprocessing preferred.

Responsibilities
